7/22/2010 Blue Heat Returns from PAC Residential Camp
End of Season Message
Dear Players,
This season was a lot of fun and very exciting. While we finished with an overall record of 9-2-1 (including tournaments) and were the repeat winners of the league sportsmanship award; you learned a lot, developed new soccer skills and had fun participating in five team socials. All the coaches and parents are proud of you for both your “on” and “off “ the field accomplishments. Have a wonderful summer! Coach Jay
5/29/2010 - The team selected a trip to Kings Dominion for their Memorial Day Weekend celebration. The kids were fearless as they rode the Intimidator, Dominator, Anaconda, Grizzly, Volcano and more. In summary, the kids had a chance to chill from their busy schedules, hang out and just have fun.
5/15/2010 - The Blue Heat attended the DC United game on Saturday, May 15th where they were honored for winning the Fall 2009 Randy Rawls Sportsmanship Award. The team participated during the pre-game activities by carrying the US Flag and FIFA World Cup Flag. As a side benefit, the players were seen on many national television outlets broadcasting the event. Again, all the coaches and parents are very proud of our players for their great achievement.

St. Patrick’s Day Tournament Champs
3/21/10 - Each of you played fantastic while providing individual contributions that were needed for the team to succeed. Throughout the tournament, you played extremely hard, never quit, and faced each challenge head on with dignity, grace and great sportsmanship. The championship game was especially exciting with a 1-0 win over a very strong and talented LMVSC Patriots. Congratulations on a very successful and fun tournament.

2/14/2010 - The Blue Heat was selected as REPEAT WINNERS for the prestigious Randy Rawls Sportsmanship Award voted by ODSL coaches across the division and referees for demonstrating the best sportsmanship during both, the 2009 Spring and Fall seasons. B eing a repeat winner is extremely rare and each one of you should feel very proud of your individual contribution to this team award. This award clearly represents character and the superb way each of you conducted yourself while always competing extremely hard from the first to last minute of the season. Again, congratulations to the coaches, players and parents for this significant achievement!
10/24/09 - The Blue Heat team arrived in force to cheer on Lauren as she participated in the International Horse Show at the Verizon Center. Lauren placed 6th during the large horse equestrian competition. The team could not be prouder of Lauren and was honored to be part of this experience. Congrats Lauren for your special achievement!!!
10/17/09 - Congrats to the Blue Heat for being recognized at the DC United game as the Spring, 2009 Rand Rawles Sportsmanship Award winner. In addition to the halftime recognition, the team was provided the opportunity for a team picture with the MLS Trophy and carrying the US Flag on-field during the pre-game ceremony. Again, your parents and coaches are proud of your accomplishment.
